24 weeks

24 weeks & 2 days, and feeling fine! I definitely feel a lot bigger, but I'm loving this cute little bump of mine. six months has gone by SO fast, and I just know the last three and a half will fly by. once the semester ends, we will have Christmas, my birthday, and then our little boy will be here anytime after that! I can't wait.

don't mind my ugly patio.. haha
How Far Along: 24 weeks, 2 days

Cravings: I will really eat anything at this point, but i'm loving the endless amounts of chocolate that Halloween brings :)

Weight Gain: at my last appointment I had gained 12 pounds.

Stretch Marks: I just have a few on my butt, but that's it. who knew it could get even bigger?

Maternity Clothes: I finally gave in and had to buy a pair of jeans so I could work comfortably at Chili's. That's the only place I wear them since I live in leggings, dresses, and dance gear.

Something New: my hands and feet have been starting to swell when i'm dancing, so I have to take my ring off for that. also, my shoes feel a lot tighter than they used to.

Looking Forward To: CHRISTMAS. it's our first Christmas together, I have a house to decorate, & we get to go home for more than two days this year, plus a snowmobiling trip maybe! whooo!

Nursery: we started painting, I have it all planned out to be bohemian styled, & I made the first decoration for it this weekend!

craftiness

okay, to start off, apparently when you get pregnant you all the sudden want to craft.. i have never been one to go into a craft store and just come up with things to go home and make-by myself. well, it happened and i'm actually pretty proud of myself! since kaden had to work all weekend, and i knew i would be home by myself every night, i had to come up with something to do by myself! so i turned to crafting.. i do have this super crafty gene that runs in my family, but it was never something i enjoyed doing until now. i did feel completely out of place in joann's, but i came out with everything i wanted and more and a coupon for my next visit! (which will probably be used sooner than later). this may be an addiction.

all the supplies- yes that is a glue gun because i didn't even own one of those.

i made these wood pumpkins conference weekend, and i had to make a wreath to match for my door!
it was pretty inexpensive, easy, and only took about 30 minutes! my kind of craft :)

i had to add something to the night for my baby boy! this is a dream catcher feather mobile to put above the crib.
this is the first thing to add to the plans i have for a cute bohemian boy nursery!
i am loving the fact that i am having a boy!!!
and i topped off the night making muffins to share with kaden right before he came home for the night :)
these are delicious and i highly recommend them!!
it may be time to finally bring down the sewing machine my mom gave me for my 14th birthday. i have hardly ever used it, but i'm thinking these craft nights are going to be a regular thing for me! now i just need to find some company to do it with :) but yay for joann's and great prices, sales, & coupons!
it made for one productive & not so lonely weekend.

the one & only

KATY PERRY!

let me start by saying, a year ago I told Kaden that when katy came to salt lake we were going no matter what! it has been a dream of mine to see her and i'm so glad we made it happen!
she was amazing, as was expected, and I even shed a tear when she finally came out. (yes I am that
girl + pregnancy hormones haha)! anyways, here is a video I took and some pictures from
this night to remember forever.

marli, her fiancé Cameron, & us.

gotta take a selfie ;)
p.s. I probably will have to go see her every time she comes now because i'll know what
i'm missing. everyone should join me because you won't regret it one bit!
even Kaden was dying because she was so good!

and here are some cute pictures of cove to add to this short, random post!

a place to call home

well, we finally have a home! it is still a rental, but it feels so homey and roomy compared to our little apartment. we moved last Saturday in the pouring rain, but it was so worth it! we are finally all moved in but the house is still disorganized and not set up the way i'd like yet, so i'll just post some pictures that I snapped when we looked at it for the first time!
we are so in love and can't wait to welcome little cove into a real home.

we also have a back door that leads to our covered parking in the kitchen
area, and is a fenced patio too!

top left: washer & dryer (my favorite part). to the left is a half bath, to the
right is a large walk-in pantry.
top right: up-stairs hall bathroom
bottom left: this will be our office/guest bedroom/kaden's man cave
bottom right: Cove's soon to be room (it will need a paint job)

left: master bedroom! we love how much space we have :)
right: we also love that we have this bathroom all to ourselves IN our bedroom!

we feel so blessed to have an opportunity to live somewhere like this and couldn't ask for anything better! this will make living in Cedar for a couple more years so worth it!
