little baby-moon

So for the weekend we decided to take a little getaway trip to escalante. Kaden's family owns a house there so it was pretty much free, which is always nice! it was just a nice relaxing few days that we got to get away from school and work, and actually spend quality time with each other.
The highlight of the trip was saturday. Kaden took me to a little river that wasn't deep at all and just flows over rocks, so you can actually walk right through it. No one is ever there so we had the whole place to ourselves!

It is such a pretty place and so relaxing! We found this hole in the middle of the river and kaden immediately wanted to get inside of it. I thought about it, but always talk myself out of things like that haha.

When i realized that he was completely fine, even though the water was freezing, i realized i should probably join him.. (i knew i would regret it later). so i took it slowly, but i finally made it and we spent about a half hour just sitting, talking, and laughing at the fact that we were sitting in the middle of a freezing cold river, as if it were a hot tub!
The sunshine was awesome, because i spent all summer indoors with morning sickness, and i am so white. This was definitely the highlight of the trip! of course nemo's (the only fast food place in escalante) and the gas station food were pretty good too!
We spent the remainder of the trip just relaxing and watching old movies like: mary poppins (kaden has never seen it.. what?!), spy kids, & aladdin. we love disney :)

Last highlight: peach shakes from Nemo's. they were just as good as taco amigo's and it made my day!

HALFWAY

so i am officially halfway through my pregnancy! 20 weeks & 5 days to be exact.

me about two weeks ago, but i'm still this same size.

highlight:
~the baby has officially started kicking and loves it haha it is constantly moving and i love it as well! kaden actually got to feel it too. if he puts a little pressure on my lower stomach he can feel it perfectly! i was really happy about this because feeling it is so hard to explain, and i wanted him to be involved and just as excited as me. plus, it's nice to know that the baby is really alive in there :) I haven't enjoyed being pregnant until this point, but now I look forward to those movements!

aversions:
~ red meat kills me. I've never been a big meat lover to begin with, but now even seeing it makes me gag (working at chili's doesn't help). the only time I can eat it is in a burger very, very well done. any pink at all makes me sick.

cravings:
~ I will go for fries & fry sauce any day
~ I crave BLT's constantly (only from the top spot)
~ strawberry and blueberry pop tarts are always in my purse

weight gain:
~ only about 5 pounds, which I'm completely happy with.

missing:
~ my family. I am so very homesick.

looking forward to:
~ still waiting to find out the gender (long story)
~ moving & starting the nursery
~ can't wait to see Kaden be a dad
~ our weekend babymoon

laugh of the week:
~ ALL my married friends need to watch this! it is hilarious & spot on.

marriage in college- school lately

so I thought I would post an update on how mine and kaden's school days are going, since our third week is coming to an end. unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to take first day of school pictures because we wake up at completely different times for school now. anyhow, Kaden is loving his classes and is so set on succeeding and getting good grades this semester (he had to take a year off). it makes me so happy to see him like this because I know it is going to pay off in the end!

Kaden doesn't have school until noon at the earliest, but mostly at one or two every day (he is so lucky). but, there is a flip side. his business major calls for a lot of homework, so when he gets home from work at 8pm he has hours of homework (which means I go to bed by myself almost every night. boooo). "it will be worth it!" everyone keeps telling us, but some days it is just so hard to believe. but Kaden is doing so well and is loving the classes regardless of the homework.

I have all dance classes on campus and two online courses. my online courses are fairly easy and I love that I can go at my own pace and not have to go to an actual class! I would much rather do homework at home than attend a class haha i'm weird. my dance classes are interesting now.. ballet kicks my butt and it seems to get harder as I get bigger, but, gotta do it. modern is just extremely awkward and I can't do a lot of the movement or even touch my toes anymore haha. I start my morning at either 8:30 or 9:00 every day and leaving with Kaden still in bed is soo hard for me. I love sleeping in (it never happens anymore).

I definitely love dancing though and wouldn't change my major for anything! I love my orchesis family (modern dance company), and my new little sister, mady.
my little, mady. she is so cute and we are personality twins :)

my cute family- jeneica, my big danikka, Katrina, me, & mady.
(don't mind us in our cute dance attire)

our new orchesis team gets to perform in the homecoming parade this Saturday (I get to sit in the back of the truck and throw candy hehe). I love them all and can't wait for another amazing year with amazing people. school wouldn't be the same without them!
orchesis at last years parade. we had lots graduate and go on missions,
so there are lots of new girls :)

sister sister

today paige came to visit me before she leaves to BYUI on thursday! our girls day consisted of many things, but pretty much me showing her around cedar, and the little things that make it unique.
we started out by going to recycled of course, and paige absolutely loved it!

second, we went to the cute 20's styled ice cream/candy shop on main street. i love coming to places like this because it makes me so happy and has such a good vibe.
the pastry pub was definitely the place to go for lunch. paige has always been in love with europe and it literally feels like you're in ireland while eating soup, salad, sandwiches or wraps. they are delicious.
and finally we ended the day in st. george buying me new dishes at target (since we don't have one in cedar and I'm still complaining about it). they are so cute and ceramic and it was fun to mix and match them! my table is finally complete!

the sweetest husband in the world.

I just have to take a minute to brag about this handsome guy. not only being pregnant, but having two jobs, dancing, and a full school schedule has me going crazy lately! I am so busy that no longer have time to take care of my "wifely duties" i.e. cleaning the house, laundry, etc.

Kaden has two jobs and school as well, but always seems to surprise me by cleaning the house or even doing some laundry. it is such a relief and I am so grateful for him every day! and on top of helping me out he is so good at dealing with my pregnant, tired self. the second trimester has definitely given me much more energy, but by the time I get home at night I just want to sleep so we don't get much quality time together anymore.

Kaden is such a sweet husband and person in general. He would never hurt a fly or say anything that would hurt someone, and is always going out of his way to help others (he definitely gets it from both of his parents). I am so glad I married this cutie and can't wait to see him be the best daddy!
